ICLW May

Welcome IComLeavWe'ers!

  • My name is Ellen.
  • I'm almost 23.
  • I'm addicted to all things twitter.
  • My husband is William.
  • He's almost 27 (shh don't tell him I told you.)
  • I have PCOS and MTHFR.
  • We recently decided to quit TTC and I went off all my meds (prometrium, femara, estradiol, BA, Folic Acid, metformin.)
  • I've had a few miscarriages and they still sting.
  • I pretty much can't stand pg people who haven't stuggled with IF (yes I'm still bitter and I don't care what anyone thinks about it.)
  • I'm currently reading Silent Sorority, which I recommend to everyone, IF or not.
  • My car got broken into yesterday and I'm still effing pissed. The stole my gps stuff, mp3 player and all it's accesories, 3 pairs of sunglasses, an old cell phone, phone chargers for every cell phone I've had in the past 2 years, and some shoes.
  • I have a 4 month old long haired chihuahua named Lily.
  • Lily has more dresses than I do.
  • I'm a nanny and work part time for a medical staffing company in the NICU, PICU, Peds and SAU.
  • I'm going to school to be a pharmacist and I love the shit out of Chemistry.
  • I've got about 5 1/2 years of school left.

I can't wait to "meet" you all! Drop me a line if you are living child-free not by choice and have given up TTC. I'd love to connect with you!

Happy ICLW! How annoying about your car! I saw that on Twitter, but I'm not sure if I responded or not. Is insurance doing anything? Catch ya on Twitter!

I relate to the part about miscarriage "still stinging." I wonder if the sting will ever go away??

Kudos to you for being a chemistry lover...how cool! This is so NOT my forte, so I admire you.

I think the sting of miscarriages never completely goes away.

Sorry to hear about your car...that would really piss me off.

SO sorry about your car. What a drag. It must be somewhat of a relief to have made a decision re: TTC. I have at least one and possibly two m/c's under my belt and am not sure how many it will take before I call it quits. I am already scared s--less about going through it again.

Your profile pic is BEAUTIFUL!

Dear Ellen....good that you went off those medicines...I took a break too (still on the break)...and I am about 8 years your senior..

Good Luck on becoming a pharmacist..

Even though fertile + preggers does not rouse my bile, what causes me to redden my knuckles is ----

when they share their fertility tips with me unasked....sometimes, I just want to tell them that they are so lucky that even a banana could have done the trick for them!

Sorry about the break in, that sucks! I know what you mean about the sting of MC, its been 3 years for me and I still feel it.

Congrats on the chem major! I get confused testing the pool with the little droppers and tiny amounts of chemicals! : )

That sucks about your stuff getting stolen out of your car, it is so annoying. They broke into my car and stole my glasses, cd's and a box of condoms (which, it turns out we didn't need anyway, who knew?)

GL with pharmacist school.

Sorry about your car. We had a break-in about a month ago as well; our GPS and accessories were also casualties.

Good luck with school. My husband is in year 4 of a biochem program. I'm so ready for him to be done :).

Nice post, really informative. IF is really difficult to deal with, and really makes us bitter... you will always have those up and down days.
